
Danny Kam (he/him or they/them) is a singing actor, voice teacher and musical director with nearly two decades of experience in the greater Seattle area. As an actor, Danny was most recently seen in Legally Blonde (Village Theatre), Sister Act (Taproot Theatre), Twelfth Night the musical (Seattle Shakespeare Company) Into the Woods and Beauty and the Beast (The 5th Avenue Theatre). As a vocal coach, they specialize in working with trans and gender non-conforming singers and brought this knowledge to queer productions of Wonder Boy (The 5th Avenue Theatre) and Miss Step (Village Theatre). Danny’s students have played leading and supporting roles at The 5th Avenue, Village Theatre, ACT Theatre, Seattle Rep, Seattle Opera and elsewhere. Danny received The 5th Avenue Award for Outstanding Direction of a Musical for Liberty High School’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone and was nominated for a Gregory Award for Outstanding Musical Direction for Taproot Theatre Company’s A Charlie Brown Christmas.
