Mandatory Student Health Insurance

The investment in college that students and families make is too great to be without financial safeguards from an unexpected illness or injury. Numerous studies have shown that a lack of adequate health insurance coverage can seriously jeopardize a student's academic career. As an integral part of our mission at Cornish College of the Arts, we want to ensure that students are successful in achieving their educational goals. With this in mind, Cornish College of the Arts requires all students to carry health insurance. We have managed to secure a very competitive rate of $756 for the twelve month period 8/28/10-8/27/11 ($63/Month). This cost will be billed in two installments of $378 each semester. We are very proud and excited to be offering this comprehensive plan to all Cornish students.

To have the $378 charge removed from your billing statement, you must Complete the waiver by July 28, 2010

  1. IF YOU HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE (other than student health insurance through the College):
    Complete the online waiver form by July 28, 2010. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE ONLINE WAIVER BY July 28th, you WILL be automatically enrolled in the College Student Insurance Plan and your student account WILL be charged accordingly. You have until September 10th, 2010 to complete the waiver and cancel the coverage.
  2. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE
    Do not complete the online waiver, your student account will be automatically charged. If you would like to purchase additional coverage, you may call Wells Fargo of California Insurance Services at 800.853.5899.

The last day to process the waiver is September 10th 2010.
