Austin Plann Curley (AR ‘03)

Austin rceived the 2009-10 Mellon Fellowship in Conservation and a lab internship at California’s Huntington Library, a research and educational center for books, art, and horticulture spanning the development of Western culture. The internship is only offered once every two years, and is a great honor to receive.

Diem Chau (AR ‘02)

Diem’s work was recently published in 2009’s Tangible, a book that presents young designers and artists who are experimenting with a multidisciplinary approach and dealing intensively with space, materials and physical products.

Russell D’Card (AR ‘94)

Russell teaches special education at Gig Harbor High School, focusing on developing reading and writing skills among his students.

Kazutaka Nomura (MU ‘07)

In 2008, Kaz (Powerful Power) gave over 150 performances, released a self-titled album on the Slender Means Society and Aagoo labels, an EP on Catbird Records, and a 7-inch record on Journal of Popular Noise.

Justin Simcik (AR ‘03)

Justin’s new series, “The Tarmac Sequence,” is on display at the Nashville International Airport from December 7, 2008-March 1, 2009. As part of Art at the Airport’s Flying Solo Exhibition Series, Justin’s 21 synthetics assemblage panels are featured in the airport’s Main Terminal.
