Cornish hosts two Portfolio Days:
Off-campus in Phoenix Arizona on Saturday, October 18, 2008. This year's location will be the Student Center at Mesa Community College.
On-campus in Seattle at our Main Campus Center, Saturday, January 10, 2009.
National Portfolio Day serves a variety of purposes. Most importantly it helps further the artistic development of artists by bringing together experienced representatives from esteemed colleges all over North America to review participants' work and offer constructive critique. A participant has the opportunity to hear many different opinions about their work. It is also a great opportunity to discuss how ideas and techniques are developed. This experience is a small taste of what attending a professional art program can be like.
National Portfolio Day is about the exchange of information; about artwork, college plans, and concerns. It is not an examination or a competition. The college representatives are pleased to discuss their degree programs; therefore we urge interested people to discuss their work with as many representatives as possible.
More information, including a detailed schedule with event locations and times, is available online at www.npda.org.
